Out of the Blue

With some trepidation I am going to tackle a little electrical work here at the BlueTower today. I have noted in the past that many homeowners are more willing to deal with electricity issues than plumbing stuff, but I have greater fear of electrocution than drowning, so this is the reverse for me. I will be extra sure to have the juice off when I do this stuff, so hopefully I will make my way through this without zapping myself (again, I should add, I managed to jolt myself not once, but twice as a child, a point probably related to my fears). The recent blackout in the northeast revealed the vulnerability of the electrical grid, so if you end up left in the dark today, you can probably blame me.

Remember when SA was updated only a few times a week, with something funny. When they/Rich did not feel the need/or started trying to make a living off the site. Now it is updated everyday, but to what purpose, it is not funny. A lot of the time it down right deserves to be the ALOD!

I watch Days of Our Lives if I'm awake in time or not in class because I find it to be the only hilariously entertaining show that's on in the afternoon.

Thought of another guilty pleasure...well it's not a guilty pleasure, but we're off topic anyway:

  • When the Half-life 2 playable stolen whatever was released, I tried dearly to get it, but what's even more pathetic is that I couldn't find a reliable download source.

I like many Kevin Costner movies and Fandango is in my all-time top five.

Wow, War, not many people have ever seen Fandango. It's one of my fave flicks too. "Wait here's the best part...I'm naked!" LOL! Great flick.

Shirley Manson (of Garbage, and no relation to Brian Warner) speaks very highly of MM...they hit it off after they met one day and she proceeded (if I remember correctly) to tell him about the "Manson" name, dating back in Scottish history (As she's a Scot, and assumed he was also). She was a bit embarrassed when he then told her his real last name wasn't Manson.

I am also a rabid collector of all things Garbage, BTW...

The Road out of Hell (Manson's autobiography) was pretty decent. I read through it pretty quickly. It definitely has some interesting moments from his childhood and his early career. There are some very interesting descriptions of his use of drugs. There are also some hilarious lists-- if you are a drug addict if:, it's not cheating if:, you're gay if:. My favorite one off those is if a girl has your name tatooed on her, you are obligated to have sex with her.

Probably the most interesting part is to see him develop from Brian Warner into that freak we all know and love today. I would pay a ton of money to have lunch with Marilyn Manson. He also debunks some of the myths/rumors about him like was he the guy on the wonder years, did he have the ribs removed, etc. Unfortunately I believe this was written mostly pre-Columbine and does not have anything on that issue. His interview in Bowling for Columbine was one of the highlights of the whole film I think.

My gf has the book at the moment so I can't look through it.

I sorta know a guy that has a cousin by marriage who is a cousin by blood to Don Knotts!

    Woot! Near brushes with greatness!

I should also mention that I am watching a episode of Andy Griffith right now!

I've watched everything Andy Griffith has ever starred in at least twice. Within the first thirty seconds of any episode of Matlock I can tell you the crime, which sidekicks star along side him and what the last minute courtroom antic he pulls will be.

  • I too have seen every thing involving Andy. While I am not as up on Matlock, but within the first 30 second of an episode of The Andy Griffith show, I can tell you what will happen, how Barney (Don, the man) will screw things up(if he is in the episode!). And I also quite often still chose to watch re-runs of that- if I am watching TV- over other stuff.

    48. So I started playing... Nov 25, 2003, 20:38 wasrad

    ...Deus Ex again.

I dont get it, why did they fuck up such a beautiful thing?

I for wahtever reason, decided to take on 3 guys on Liberty Island with tranq darts. Well, I ended up getting shot and tranq'd so i decided to head towards one of the bots. On the way there, I got my legs shot out. I barely made it in time to the bot to take the two guys left that I didnt get to tranq. That was a heavy and desperate moment.

Too bad I wont have anyhting like this happening in Invisible War.

    Thanks for nothing, sell outs.
