dont expect too much from this game. it lets come up a little fast and furious feeling but its no where near realism, still no cockpit view, childish courses (at least in this demo) and one sided cars (mostly japanese, tho I like japanese cars the most its still boring to race just against overtuned hondas, mitsubishis, toyotas, etc - there should be some real sports cars in there too).
just another simple arcade game with a little better physics and very nice graphics that even run extremely fast on my ti4600 and p4 2.6. stick with GT3.
second name should be "2 fast (2 furious) to be realistic".

I have given up on waiting for BIS to come back to their senses and do a real ArmA 2 successor.

This game has too much graphics, I can't play at full detail and get 60fps + like I should with a racer.

What is everyone else running?

26.22 is the best I've come up with yet.

Bah, best I've got so far is 27.15.. most of the times I crash.

Edit: is this one pretty much need for speed: ricer unleashed?

Yeah, something like that..

As for there being no car damage, I'm not bothered by that because I race in the 'hood' view (is that what it's called?) so I wouldn't see the damage anyways.
(indented/italic)

Well, you would still see damage on other cars if you rear ended someone. I haven't played the demo, but I hope even though there is no visual damage, that there are some kind of physics, I hate when you hit another car and it no way effects the suspension or lift the car off the ground, and even possibly roll.

Well these cars certainly aren't Porches, so I don't expect them to handle the same.

Wtf since when is semi-realistic car damage 'to much to ask' ???

I think it's a question of licensing. Some car manufacturers simply will not let game makers show their cars in a damaged state. Well, that's what I read about Gran Tourismo 4 anyways. Personally, I won't mind too much, I'm more upset that the last official list of cars in the game didn't include a 300ZX. Hopefully gamers can add cars or something though...

I guess they expect people to race, not crash, but part the excitment is the possibility of a crash. At least we got it in Pro Race Car Driver. Though I liked the physics in the leaked demo for that game, the official demo the car would not flip no matter what and damage couldn't get as bad as before.
