Naive??no just pissed at everygame release we gotta go through this crap.Getting real tired of it,no what i mean?If i manufacture something and it's said to be released to the PUBLIC on such an such a date,then by jeezus it should be released.I know people that have paid alot of cash just upgrading there comp's for this game.And with pc gear price's the way they are they could have waited and saved more money.Cause it was supposed to be sept 30,alot of pissed off people.God where is call of duty when u need it

Valve doesn't "take" pre-order money, thats the vendors like EB and Gamestop who do that. Christ, Duke Nukem Forever has been available as a "pre-order" for years and I'm quite sure that 3DR doesn't see a dime of that.
If you want to point a finger I'd look at Vivendi. I'd wager that this delay can be traced to their marketing suits. Besides, theres still a lot of good games coming out between now and Xmas to keep everyone occupied.

I think this is a marketing ploy on many parts. The new P4 chip should be out around christmas time as such these games will too. I will be one of the first ones to pick up the game when it comes out, but I also need a new system too.
Have you seen the prices of processors drop? its insane.

Goddam it. My drinking problem has relapsed because of this. I tried to make love to my girfriend last night but all i could see in the darkness was Gabes face staring up at me, laughing insanely at my plight. Now she doesn't want to see me as I obsess endlesly over my vitriolic hatred of valve. I blew all my money on upgrading my rig and now the banks are threatening to reposess my house as I quit my job so I could play HL2 uninterupted on sept 30th. I even changed my name by depoll to Gordon Freeman and grew a ridiculous goatee so I would be even further emersed into the story.
I have now metamorphed into an angel of darkness. I am staring down on my hapless victims from the clock tower through a telescopic sight, seeking blind retribution against innocents, playing God with peoples lives as Valve played god with mine. I see Hari Krishnas coming!!! Boy they're gonna get it.
