Out of the Blue

Well, I'm back at the BlueTower for a short stay, as after getting in late after my grandmother Mimi's funeral I'll be heading out at dawn to attend the burial (I haven't heard why the two events were not on the same day, but it's fairly unusual from my experience, so I assume there's probably a good reason for this). Anyway, the services was simple but sincere, and I take some comfort in my belief that it proceeded much the way she would have wanted it to.

I don't expect to get in as late today as I did last night, and any patience you can muster for the delayed updates is sincerely appreciated.

I would say White Wolf takes a gamble either way. I can't imaging they make a terrible profit from this stuff (not a fan, so I'm sure someone will prove me wrong). So they think why not slap a lawsuit against one of the biggest entertainment companies on earth.

Pertaining to the movie: I think it looks extremely badass. There is something about all the stunts I have seen in the previews that look natural. I know they are using wires and whatever tricks but the way they are moving just looks real. Two examples: the scene where Kate Beckinsale drops from the tower, and the scene where she is in a sewer jumping from the background to the foreground. Just the movement looks amazing to me. I'm very nitpicky. I loved Crouching Tiger but hated the obvious use of wires. It's like Lee didn't TRY to hide that fact. I'm hoping the rest of Underworld looks as great as those two small scenes. I also saw a little behind the scene clip where they had a huge conveyor belt type thing running and someone was chasing a car, made it look like he was running 40mph. Everything I have seen so far just looks amazing.

"The only downside to being better than everyone else is that people tend to assume you're pretentious."
