Out of the Blue

Huzzah and kudos to Chatbear's Bagpuss for taking a bunch of time yesterday to iron out a few things on the forums here that have helped smooth out their operation a bit. He's quite a busy guy with enough on his plate to keep him altogether too occupied to start with, and I can't thank him enough for his efforts.

I can't believe people who are "annoyed by pop-ups" you should be more annoyed with your old, stinking , useless, outdated internet browser. And getting rid of that annoyance is real easy, just use IE for one last time to go to http://www.mozilla.org/products/firebird/ or, www.opera.com/download and download a browser thatll make you laugh sadisticly at all the poor pop-up-closing stoneagers we call "IE-users"

Ditch the pop-ups, thanks.

BTW, before all of the non-banner ads came along, did you ever once ask for donations or micropayments?

I remember watching a show on USA's UP-ALL night, the one with the blond bimbo and gilbert godfrey... Anyways the character in the movie was shrunk and was in a chicks panties, now that was some exciting science.

I remember that show, Hump. Yea, pretty upsetting to watch. I'm all for modern science in theory, but in practice it can sometimes turn your stomach.

I remember seeing a science special on TV about 10 years ago where they took a cadaver who had been a lifer at a local prison (he donated his body to science), flash froze him and then sliced him into 1/32 in" slices like a piece of genoa salami and taking digital pics of each piece, put it all into a database for reference purposes. I'm wondering if this is that dude. It had to be one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen, each slice was so thin it was almost transparent.

I know you don't get enough thanks for developing these forums in the first place, but good on ya, man.

re visible human - so they sliced someone bit by bit and scanned them in, eh? (from http://www.nlm.nih.gov/research/visible/ - "The male was sectioned at one millimeter intervals, the female at one-third of a millimeter intervals."). Anyone read early Known Space - mmmm, organ banks!
