Nice try? Kiddie porn? Feds breaking down doors? What are you talking about? You saying you've been in that sceanero before? I'd rather you didn't open that can of worms. What crap you have in your head can stay there and should. Sick.

so when the feds come breaking down the doors and find kiddie porn on your computer I figure your going to blame that on 'steam,' huh?

Nice try meathead.

Sorry, but no Gog. Steam actually downloads while it's idle. Lots of people in various forums have mentioned this very fact. You know, you should really cut back on eating those retard sandwiches. If it was your goal, you attained the dunce hat crown awhile ago. Cheers!

BitTorrent sucks big ass. Deleted that joke as fast as I could.

He cut the possum's face off then cut around the eye socket. In the center of the belt buckle, where the possum's eye would be, he has placed a small piece of wood from his old '52 Ford's home made railroad tie bumper. Damn, he misses that truck.

Same experience here Jbird. I can't complain about that one bit. I just clicked on the movie and BAM, It was already there. I don't know HOW that happened, but it's all good to me.

I'm just curious about that tricked out flare gun he uses in this vid.
Ahh... sweet memories of Blood.

19. Steam actually worked!!! er, sort of.. Jul 31, 2003, 08:29 J-Bird

Don't know if anyone else had this experience...but I just happened to check Steam last night, saw that they release another video (still hadn't checked out Traptown) and decided to play it. Much to my surprise, it DID NOT download, rather started right up and played through without a hitch. The strange thing is, I didn't have my machine on all day, idle, for it to download in the background - it had been up for about 3-4 hours doing some work.

I guess that's how it's supposed to work - click and play.

Enthused by my triumph, I went to play Traptown, and had to wait for 7 minutes while my cable connection downloaded it.

Oh well.

I suspect that the people having the most trouble with steam are the people in teh middle of the country. All the servers are probably towards one coast or the other. They mentioned that at some point they'd implement P2P with steam which would effectively put servers all over the place but it sounds like it'll be a long time.

What the Steam beta has proven is that Valve should use BitTorrent for their file distribution. It never fails to max out my 3Mb connection.

16. Great Vid... Jul 31, 2003, 07:15 denniz

GREAT STUFF!

Where can I buy myself a pair of electricity-whizzing-arms like that?

Computers and airconditioners have one thing in common; they both stop working when you open windows

I don't know if you're aware of this but they're not gonna sell games with this - this is a beta - they're gonna sell games with the final version.

13. This was on gamespot.... Jul 31, 2003, 02:55 Shredder133

This vid wasn't on any of the fileplanet downloads but it was available from gamespot through gamespot complete. My only gripe about these vids is that they aren't in 5.1 sound (I just got some Z-680s) but the video quality is so awesome that it really doesn't matter too much.

It wasn't apart of the 500/600 mb file, for some reason it was left out, you could still download it seperately however.

This was from the E3 presentation. My friend hadn't seen it either however, and I believe he only downloaded the 600 MB file, so I think it may not have been included in that, but I don't recall. I DLed all of the movies individually first, however, and I'd definitely already seen this.

I don't remember the tunnel from the E3 vid? I was almost positive that all these vids that they are releasing are all from the E3 vid. Please refresh my memory, as I don't remember what part the tunnels are from
