Half-Life 2 Delayed

Half-Life 2 delayed on GameSpot (thanks Boomtown) has word that Valve's shooter sequel will not make its planned release date. Here's the deal:

Today we received word from the game's publisher, Vivendi Universal, that Half-Life 2's release has been delayed until later this year. Without commenting on the delay, a Vivendi Universal representative reaffirmed that the game would ship this year, sometime during the holiday season.

I can say that I am surprised and not surprised. It makes no difference to me if Iraq is unable to supply its people with cook new 2.0 ghz videogame rigs. Where are they gonna play them now? In an old bombed out building? I think not. An some of them are missing hands and arms so unless they upgrade their interface they're screwed. But who needs a new flight sim anyway. I still play 'Ace-of-Aces' on my C64. I want to hook up my GBA to my PC so I can play that 4 player Zelda game online. I am definetly NOT going to fight there war for them. I dont mean with guns, I mean with money. We all have a choice of what we purchase and supporting some milk swollen, left wing, corporation is not a wise decision when there are people that are hungry and have no hands left to feed their foods into their mouths. But if it does come out on time, I will buy it.
