Silent Storm Demo Plans

LifeMode Interactive sends along a press release touting the "LifeStudio: HEAD facial animation technology" in Silent Storm, Nival Interactive's upcoming 3D WWII tactical RPG. The release also provides September 2003 as their projected release date and the promise of a new demo for the game on Friday (July 25). Update: A correction from Nival Interactive clarifies that the demo is actually due in "about a month."

I talked to these guys a couple of E3s ago. Seemed very committed, very big on this project, and it sure sounded good. Very much a Jagged Alliance vibe, only in WWII. Fingers crossed.

I dont know how I missed this one: as this is the first Ive heard about it... but it sounds freakin awesome! It combines 4 things I absolutely love in games: RPGs, turn based combat, destructible environments, and 3D graphics! Man I hope they do this well... Im getting tired of playing JA2 over and over...

Can't wait to see the demo for this one, as it will be immensely cool if they can pull off some of the things they are talking about doing in this game. The screens/movies certainly make it look awesome, but it'll all depend on the controls, I think.. Hopefully this is the game I really wanted Commandos 2 to be (not that C2 wasn't great, or anything).

Don't really know why they need all that facial tech in there though (except to give the marketing weenies something to jabber about, of course)..

I'm not even angry. I'm being so sincere right now, even though you broke my heart and killed me.
