Don't forget who saved us in the Revolutionary war.And a nominal French force didn't land in the colonies until six years after the war had begun. Before 1780 they had supplied arms, uniforms, and supplies, but a real French force didn't participate until 1781 when Count Rochambeau landed in Rhode Island with five battalions of infantry and artillery, and Admiral DeGrasse with a fleet of French ships.
How about hating France because the lot of them are a bunch of socialist, snotty, elitist pantywaists? Well, that's Parisians mainly, most French I've met from the countryside, or ones who emmigrated to the US were decent people
Fought and died for US? Maybe they fought and died for themselves
Drop the "I hate France, because its cool"How about hating France because the lot of them are a bunch of socialist, snotty, elitist pantywaists? Well, that's Parisians mainly, most French I've met from the countryside, or ones who emmigrated to the US were decent people.
those people fought and died for you in ww1Fought and died for US? Maybe they fought and died for themselves, but as I recall it was we who came to the rescue when the war went to the trenches. And what about Belleau Wood? You know, the woods that were renamed "Bois de la Brigade du Marine" after our Marines who did what the French thought was impossible and never attempted.
the french could have fought but it would have been useless and wasted millions of livesSo in typical French fashion they hung back in their farm houses waiting for us to come in and save the day.
I just agree with Dennis Miller's statements and found it funny
No my friend, it is quite obvious that it is you that doesn't get it.
And you refer to RazorWynd's post? Aw come on! I usually stay away from these type of posts, I just found this one amusing.
I'm no bigot (RazorWynd you wanker) I just agree with Dennis Miller's statements and found it funny.
i don't follow too much american politics but i saw letterman the other day with the press secretary or whatever and they were talking about how they found the chemical and biological weapons just not the nuclear. i always figured they wouldnt have the nuclear but they always had a good argument about the rest
*sigh* You just don't get it, do you?
edit: See RazorWynd's above post, assholes.
No doubt Bunko, that would be an insult to gay people everywhere.*sigh* You just don't get it, do you?
To quote Dennis Miller ""I would call the French scum bags, but that, of course, would be a disservice to bags filled with scum."
You mean you're surprised people believe anything is possible in today's law suits - copyright and trademark law suits especially? I'm not. The first story of the day should tell you that even (or especially) (some of) the legislators have an extremely warped view of the world.
France is gay. I am sad to be a quarter French.
How can people be such retards?
No doubt Bunko, that would be an insult to gay people everywhere.
To quote Dennis Miller ""I would call the French scum bags, but that, of course, would be a disservice to bags filled with scum."
