Another new movie trailer for XIII is now available from Ubi Soft (direct FTP link), showing off more of the cel-chaded gameplay being offered in the upcoming Unreal-engine shooter. The XIII movie shows off over XC seconds of footage, and the download has been mirrored by 3D Gamers.

Hmm. I thought it looked pretty lame. I killed the video halfway through playing it. Looks like Same Old Shiat to me.

Humph. The cell shading looks pretty cool and the gameplay doesn't look too bad but the AI looks sub-par.

There was only one catch and that was Catch-22

Those boxes are an integral part of gameplay, actually. Whether for good or ill, well, that's a choice each of us will have to face, kinda like Frodo and the One Ring. Or not. During play those boxes function as a sort of sixth sense, in their marketing speak. They tip you off to stuff your avatar, who is much more bad ass than we are, notices. They also provide part of the comic book flair, with that inset-box aesthetic that is sooo graphic novel. For good or ill, again, depends on your taste.

Those boxes that show up while playing...those are merely cut into the trailer for effect and NOT part of the actual gameplay, right? It would suck to have random boxes popping up showing what someone else is doing and distracting you...
