In Search of the Perfect Cup, the Old Coffee Pot Is Passé (registration required) is an article on one of my passions, a good cup of joe (thanks Mike Martinez). My formula is a lot simpler. Fresh dark roasted Arabica beans, grind in a burr grinder, and use a Melita drip dealie. It takes all of 5 minutes to make a perfect pot of coffee, and I have stopped going through automatic coffee makers, a formerly regular occurrence.
