The Patch Notes offer the extensive list of what's new and different as expressed in this forward: "The 1.10 patch is an upgrade to Reign of Chaos in preparation for the upcoming release of Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, available on July 1st. This patch contains numerous new features and upgrades to Reign of Chaos, as well as several balance changes. Due to these significant changes we have moved the version number from 1.06 up to 1.10.
