Chrome Q&A

The Chrome Q&A on Tiscali Games is the English version of their conversation with Techland designer Bartek Paul (also available in Czech) discussing Chrome, their upcoming tactical first-person shooter. They discuss various aspects of gameplay in detail, like the example below that discusses the role of vehicles in the game:

Vehicles play a crucial role in Chrome. Sometimes they will be an essential means of transport (on land and in the air) used to travel quickly across extensive terrain, in other cases the weaponry mounted on the vehicles will be important. The vehicles can be found in most locations in the game (their number and diversity will depend on the mission) and they will be available for the player, as well as the AI. The player will be able to drive most of the vehicles found in the game

Hi Jackass,

Thanks for your reply. In response to your ill-thought troll I'd like to explain a few points to why your idiotic notion that I am, in fact, incorrect is incorrect.

Beta phases of games go in stages, but generally depict the games overall concept and execution. While we could sit in happy land smoking crack and wishing this game would be the best game ever, I think we can all see from the beta that this is an uninspired game with some lousy game mechanics. Go to area, shoot thing, have big breasted bimbo issue orders over a headset. Wow, excuse me if I don't take a crap in my chair from all that excitement. Maybe this is a game for you, it would very much explain why developers make these kind of games then return a year later with a sequel.

I'm not saying it won't be optimized, but what I'm saying is that I have no faith in them optimizing the game to run nicely on my system after the game ran like such complete shit.

Games running this bad in the development cycle is caused by underlying engine code that renders a POS like this, well... a POS.

Thank you for your prompt attention.
