Pivotal Games announces plans for
Conflict: Desert Storm II, a sequel to their Gulf War game. There's not much
about this so far except the following: "CDS II will hit the streets around
September 2003. It's based at the same time as the original, but with different
characters and missions, in and around Iraq and Kuwait. Oh... and it's better
than the original. We'll release more info as soon as we have it." Also, Battlefront.com
has word on plans for Combat Mission: Afrika Korps (CMAK), which: "moves
the focus to three new regions of conflict. North Africa from 1940-43. Italy
(including Sicily) from 1943-45 and Crete in 1941. Using a modified CMBB engine
Combat Mission: Afrika Korps adds some new features including dust clouds and
multi-turreted vehicles." The game is expected fourth quarter of this year.
