I do think that whoever is in charge of the frederickson personas made a mistake by bringing back frederickson (1.0). You mean they are the same person?
Seriously, I would have to agree, he did goof up with the return of 1.0. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. He seems to be running out of steam at this point.

why the SciFi channel decided to skip Dune Messiah and head right to Children of Dune? Actually, I read somewhere that they've merged both books and the Children of Dune series will actually contain both stories.

Am I the only one who thinks it's more than a coincidence that the frederickson 1.0 has shown his face and now that auction of the day appears? I think you're the only one. However, I do think that whoever is in charge of the frederickson personas made a mistake by bringing back frederickson (1.0). He/she (let's face it, he) ruined all the mystique of frederickson 1.0.
booooooooooooooo! He should have just stuck with doing fredrickson's mom (like the rest of us have... ooooh!).

Messiah is my favorite Frank Herbert book. Maybe I should be happy that it will not be turned into a tele-movie. Maybe the guy that did such a great job with The Lord of the Rings could take a shot.

I don't know if I should be proud or ashamed that I played that thing for at least a half hour and was only stumped once.
----------------------------------------- Of course I could be wrong... but really, what are the chances of that happening twice? |

If he's running SyGate Personal Firewall, that could also be causing a problem. I've run into this with NAV 2002 and 2003, and I see the CPU spike about once a month.

Frans P. de Vries = Mike Martinez.
I'm sure of it.
No question about it. LOL.
Maybe it's time to burst that bubble (numerous others have made similar suggestions over the past half year): there's a big difference between rounding up real-world/technology/etc. links like Mike does so tirelessly, and collecting and posting gaming news which I did during my term as editor on this here site.
I concur with Starsky. see this: http://www.3dgamers.com/~fpv/ Oh boy, was that ever out of date. Now you left me with no choice but to update that stuff.

Use norton anti-virus 2002 instead, it wont bog you down like the 2003 series does. You still can obtain updates regularily for it as well.

It IS hard to believe they don't charge for AVG, huh?
Part of the reason I like it so much is that it's not a resource eating hog.
Of course, part of the reason I moved all my e-mail, Word Processing and 'Net needs to Linux is because viruses are such a pain in the arse.

Depending on how you want to do it blue, there are a few things you can do. I have NAV setup so it scans incoming mail only but is not running in the system tray or in memory. That does require me to run things in protected mode if I'm slightly suspicious of them, but it works well enough.
Simply disable "run NAV on startup" but leave script blocking, and email scanning on. |

I haven't bothered to buy any AV software in a while, and currently don't run any. I'll check these ones out... cheers.
