Out of the Blue

ZENtertainment (thanks Chris Johnson) has a Q&A with John Kricfalusi about the upcoming revival of Ren & Stimpy. Any fears that the show's edginess will be softened are hereby allayed, though the fears that he will be dragged from the airwaves again are correspondingly heightened.

I can't wait to overclock my fridge...

At least it comes with a built-in active cooling solution!

This is not related to any of these topics, but i have to vent.

I have been playing nhl 2003 online for about a week now, and i am getting pissed off. First it starts with the bad lag, now people are constantly disconnecting when they are about to lose!!

Little mutants dont want to blemish their records so they disconnect, it irates me to no end. Now i dont like loosing either, but i dont quit, even if being blown out 6-0 i play till the end

My record is 31-29-3 with only 4 disconnects, which were isp related not me quitting, and now i see kids with 12-0 records with like 40 disconnects. Unbearable!

This may not be the place for this, but venting on the ea message boards wasnt enough for me.

Sorry to take up a post with my ramblings but my thoughts must be heard!

Did anyone watch the "Today Show" this morning that had an interview with a guy named "Jack Thompson"?

The "Throwin' Samoan"?

13. more E. coli facts Oct 11, 2002, 18:47 DrunkenMaster

You're quite correct. Escherichia coli is found in the intestines of all mammals. This makes it an excellent indicator of fecal contamination. In most cases, E. coli is harmless but it may indicate the presence of pathogens such as Hepatitis A and Salmonella. A few rare E. coli strains such as O157H7 and H111 can cause serious ilness in humans but most of time E. coli is harmless.
E. coli is the lab rat of the microbiology world. It was the first organism to have its entire genome mapped and has been used in more experiments than any other organism.

And for a long time after I got my undergrad degree in Microbiology I used ecoli as my on-line name.

Oh Lordy. After like 2 hours when the story for Ren & Stimpy finally loaded up (I have cable, I swear), and the creator was talking about then ew episodes and commercials, I thought I was going to die laughing. I can't imagine what will happen when they actually air it. Maybe my head will explode.

A good chunk of the walkerton problem had to do with incompetent water testing and incompetent people in positions they shouldn't have been; they ummmm, weren't doing so. Well, they were testing water, just not from any sites. I believe (iirc) 9 people died, with hundreds sympotomatic.

Actually ecoli is a very common bacteria, and you are exposed to it all the time. It only gets dangerous when you ingest certain strains of it that are often found in poultry and other meats.....

Life is short....Frag hard

Except they forgot to tell you that ecoli is very dangerous

Except you aren't taking into account that battery acid, gasoline, and most other such energy sources are quite dangerous as well...

Except they forgot to tell you that ecoli is very dangerous, especially if it enters the water supply. Case and point Walkerton Ontario (Canada) had an ecoli epidemic fairly recently.

7. Gawd Oct 11, 2002, 11:48 Weas

Why didn't he just change it to Gawd? I don't see why he couldn't use God. I mean how many spanish dudes are named Jesus out there?
As it stands people will confuse him with Popeye.

Weirdo: My name is I am who I am
Dude: Like Popeye?
Weirdo: No that's, I am what I am

or he'll run into awkwardness like the following quote from "Oh God"

Court Reporter: Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?
God: So help me Me.
Judge Baker: "So help you you"?

"Monitor stored foods and expiration dates"

So, I type-in the expiration dates of everything, and then it tells me when that date passes?

If these things have the date printed on them, why can't I just read it?

And having video messages is so much better than a note and a magnet.

I want to scream.
