GameSpot Previews Real War: Rogue States
with a look at Rival Interactive's upcoming stand-alone expansion for Real
War, the RTS game originally created as an actual military tool for the US
Joint Chiefs of Staff. They discuss criticisms of the original based on its
realism which made game balance tricky, and how the follow-up will emphasis
fun over realism. Other topics are the counter-terrorism storyline, new
multiplayer options, the improved interface and AI, the spiffed-up graphics,
and more.

Monolith's upcoming spy shooter sequel. The article covers the background of
the original game, a bit on the Cate Archer character, the groovy 60s, a bit

plans for this upcoming MMORPG from Nevrax. They describe the difficult path
ahead of an independent project competing with the juggernauts that occupy
this niche, the unusual setting on a "a plant world with no indigenous
metals or stone," species, magic, the attempt at creating a
"Saga" for a storyline, avoiding the level treadmill, economics,
building, PvP, unique elements like aging and offspring, and more.

They hope that large guilds help create the content later on in the game
Sounds like lazy developers to me. "hmm the game needs more content", "Wait i have an idea let the users create some content for us so that way we can go count our money"
