GameSpyDaily is reporting that Earth & Beyond, Westwood's outer space MMORPG, has gone gold. According to the story, the plan is to begin distribution with a limited run of copies to be available at major US retailers on September 24, with new copies to be shipped out on a weekly basis thereafter to control the flow of new players into the game to prevent "a galactic traffic jam."

The game appears to be quite ready. it's very stable and bugfree. I was in the beta early and then quit playing (a little thing called warcraft3 got in the way) then I started back up and it was way improved from before. I've already pre-ordered and am looking forward to playing the final release.

Oy! What people call stable, but then again this is the first beta that i have seriously tested and i havent played any mmo's since ultima online, the one before third dawn.

Am i the only one who still expects games to be finished before release? Hopefully they will fix, if not everything, the major bugs before the 24th so that the kids who purchase the game will have a headache free experience
