Grate game! It's just as exciting as UT CTF except u really have to be on the balls regarding the overall battlefield situation as there are 5 flags to defend/capture.
Love it when the whole side works together to assault or defend a strongpoint. It almost has a "cinematic" feel to it. The only bad things are clueless jackasses/intentional PKers who bomb/shoot everything in sight not bothering to check if it was a friendly unit,or asshole joyriders who take the tank out for a spin when it was dearly needed and driving it down a cliff or going opposite the direction of the main enemy advance. Really makes u go "DOH!"
I've encountered some game killing bugs, such as the mouse suddenly going haywire/or the keyboard locking up. Did anyone out there encounter this before? The only solution was to reboot. A major bummer when your in middle of an urgent battle and on popular servers you don't have much of a chance of rejoining as your slot would probably be taken up.
And the small arms seem to be quite inconsistent with regards to accuracy. I've often put a solid bead on the center mass of a stationary target with the sniper rifle and
found to my suprise/dismay that somehow the bullet had missed. I've given up on headshots as it was not a reliable method of obtaining a hit.
Anyway,if the Wake Island map alone could be so fun i can't imagine what a blast the final product with Stalingrad,Normandy,Guam,Okinawa,Solomon Islands eg. all the famous WWII battlefields, provided they do a bit of polishing, fixing the bugs etc.
I think we've got a winner here!
