Activision sends along the first four, high-res screenshots of the Game of the Year edition for Return to Castle Wolfenstein, the first-person shooter by Gray Matter and Nerve Software. The images show off four of the new multiplayer maps that will be included, two of which are reworkings of single-player maps in the full game. To our knowledge this edition had not yet been officially announced, so we asked Activision for more information, and while a press release is currently not available, they provided this succinct description, which also includes word on a downloadable map pack for owners of the original game:

The GotY edition will contain 7 new multiplayer maps not on the original retail CD -- Trenchtoast, Tram Siege, Ice, Chateau, Keep, The Damned, and Rocket. Chateau, Keep, The Damned, and Rocket are brand new maps not released yet, but those will be available in a GotY Map Pack we'll be releasing this week. The GotY edition will also contain a few extra goodies like concept art, wallpapers and more.
