RtCW's AI was pretty bad, I don't know why you think so fondly of it. It's really easy to draw enemies around when necessary. I've killed Super Soldiers by sitting on ladders next to them. They're too stupid to move and they can't attack.
The 'normal' soldiers are all completely retarded. The Elite Guard are probably the smartest unit, and the only thing they really have going for them is their mobility.
This is why even on the hardest setting, RtCW was a one-day game. All of the units were stupid, and I think you'd have to be a zealot to think otherwise.
Not that I'm saying SoF2's AI is good; I don't know, I've only played the demo thus far. The two maps don't have overly bright opponents, but I think their piddley-ass damage has more to do with their weakness than anything else.
