Amazing. In case you do read this:
You got so caught up in the romance of killing and dying, which really isn't as romantic as you make it out to be with pretty fair romantic imagery reminiscent of an unrestrained Tom Clancy, that you forgot that what people are so upset about is that there were thousands of people killed along with that "symbol" being destroyed.
Also, it is pretty damned arrogant to take that step...because, guess what? No matter how sure you are what you are doing is the right thing, you might be wrong. This can be minimized, arguably, when the target poses a direct threat to you and yours...I mean virtually no one condemns someone who validly shoots a burglar in defense of himself/herself and their family. But going out and killing a generalized group of people...whether that generalized group is "American" or "Arab" for your personal beliefs boils down to one thing...arrogant.
Pardon me...you do seem to have some social conscience, but you seem very childishly romantic about death and killing, and very indifferent to life when your beliefs get involved. I must say I find it disgusting. BTW, I find Americans beating up "Arabs" because of this tragedy pretty damned disgusting too...almost as disgusting as the tragedy was in the first place. Perhaps it is more accurate to say it is a continuation of the tragedy.
