Sorry guys, I really was looking forward to this game. I have to say that this was a total disappointment. Volition's geo-mod technology, impressive as it may look at first, is -and please forgive the pun- hardly innovative enough to make an impression. After blowing the shit our of the level, you realize there's no real physics system in place, so it all feels very hackish in the end.
The vehicles also had this very hackish feel to them, even though I really enjoyed the burrowing tank- what a great idea that is, it just seems a little too slow to be fun. The weapons are solid but have that certain "mod quality", and the AI is virtually nonexistant. The overall visuals are about a year behind the standard too.
I am praying that it's just the case for the demo, and the real release will be much more professional. I will not condemn it completely until then, but I really had to voice my concern just in case anyone at V is listening. |
