I want My HL-TV

There are some new Half-Life Proxy screenshots on SpyFx.com showing off the upcoming technology to assist spectator viewing that will be in an upcoming version 1.1.0.8 patch for Half-Life. The shots apparently spring forth from the CPL event currently underway, where they are also demonstrating the upcoming Half-Life voice-over-IP technology.

Hi,
Saw the post I try to keep track of unanswered questions I post.

Anyway, do you think HL-TV will be more successful than quake tv? I think so...

Didn't quite mean anything by "worked". Qtv was used for some cpl broadcasts and it "worked". I haven't really heard much of it since.

I think I heard something to the effect of it breaking with q3's new network code, but I haven't been paying any attention the fps scene recently.

This thread is a bit old and you probably won't see this reply, but what the hell.

Quaketv was the exact same concept. Worked quite nicely.

Well,
It seems like what once was a way of entraintainment for a single guy (or gal) is turning into a sport. a sport needs a way of being distributed to many places at once.

This is deffinitly a step in the right direction. I hope it will live up to the expectations.

btw.. anyone here remmembers quaketv? what was that all about ?
