Assassin's Creed® Syndicate is Now Available on Steam!
London, 1868. In the heart of the Industrial Revolution, lead your underworld organization and grow your influence to fight those who exploit the less privileged in the name of progress.
As Jacob Frye, a young and reckless Assassin, use your skills to help those trampled by the march of progress. From freeing exploited children used as slave labour in factories, to stealing precious assets from enemy boats, you will stop at nothing to bring justice back to London’s streets.

Syndicate is what the next 6-7 games will look like that launch on this gen of consoles. enjoy them. I'll probably just keep replaying the one game they put out for real PC enthusiasts over and over. you know, the one that you all shit on for being too technologically demanding.
who are you blaming here? for your little pity party? are you a fucking toddler? did you miss your naptime? need your blanky?
fucking grow up you sniveling little brat

Kxmode, a big factor for me getting a game has to do with the Steam score, but as you allude to first day negs can weigh a game down forever. What we need for steam is a way per game to put in a date range and give us the score from that. This way I can cut out some initial release dates/reviews after a patch addresses those main concerns, then get a solid score.
I believe what you're advocating is what WB did when they re-released Arkham Knight. They changed the release date and then flagged all reviews prior to the new date as "Early Access Game". It was seen by most as complete bullshit. Even the gaming media thought it was uncool.
I understand your point but this could lead to "whitewashing" abuse by publishers. People have the right to know that a game has been "refurbished". The publisher can make it absolutely clear that the updated game is much better but not by changing the date and tagging early reviews as EAG.
My apologies if I'm wrong in your assessment.

managed to fix it by going to "global settings" in nvidia control panel and restoring defaults...
not sure what was making it unhappy - i suspect the DSR (upscaling), but even after i turned it off it still had the problem... only went away when i restored defaults - maybe it didnt like something else
Well, first comment on that video you linked says:
Solution: Turn off MFAA in Nvidia Control Panel to fix this issue for now.
that didnt work... as others mentioned in the thread below the video

i really wish they would just leave the retarded GENETIC MEMORY ANCESTOR bullshit behind and fully embrace their lore, because that part is just embarrassingly stupid.

I skipped Unity after all the outcry, but I really like Syndicate. It's pretty, the zip line is fun, Evie is cool, and I like the way you can customize each character differently via separate skill trees.
(Though I'd like it just a bit more if it didn't involve kidnapping missions where I end up killing the person, their guards, the police, and anyone else in a 100 yard radius. )
It's certainly not game changing (at all), but it feels more polished, gameplay wise.

Anyhow, going to still buy ACS.

Now I need to wait for Unity to go on sale for $15 during the steam holiday sale just like I did for Black Flag. From what I've seen, Syndicate isn't going to hold my interest. I'm more interested i the historical settings than the actual storyline and Industrial Revolution England isn't as interesting as Pirates or French Revolution.
