Due to the nature of the changes introduced in CB2, player progress will be wiped. Player level, card packs, decks and friend lists will be reset for everybody. Everyone will be starting fresh. All acquired Gold will be maintained and reset to pre-spend levels. Players will also keep all skins that have been acquired through contests, tournaments or giveaways. I know this will be tough for some of you, but this a by-product of the beta process and is necessary for the game to improve. We believe that the new mechanics and play options introduced should make up for the reset and we hope you will agree.
Finally, at first we will only be releasing the English language version for CB2 as we put the new content and changes through a full localisation. Other languages will come online as soon as is practical.

Thanks screwing up the Orcs Must Die! franchise with this F2P nonsense that no one asked for.
It's definitely not as fun as the endless horde mode of the previous games, but I think it is similar enough that if you enjoyed the first game you will probably enjoy this too.
With that said, it is definitely a MOBA. Players have either an attacker or defender role, and the defender is the one that places the traps, which act the same as the previous games. You need a ridiculous amount of ingame currency to buy new traps though. You would need about 10 days of playing regularly to unlock one top-tier trap.
I played the first one for about 250 hours, and absolutely loved the co-op modes. I've put a couple hours into this one and probably won't put more than a couple more; but I just don't like the MOBA game format.
