Funny, I'm old and have played all Witchers and most Elder Scrolls. I say it looks a lot like Skyrim. Fanstasy, check. Open World, check.
That's like saying oranges are like potatoes. They both grow, you can eat both.

Only an ignorant little kid who hasn't played any of the Witcher games could say it's anything like Skyrim. The two are so completely different. The only similarities are it's a fantasy third person RPG (although The Witcher is just barely RPG territory). The comparison stops there.

So are we talking basically a Skyrim knockoff but with a much better color pallette, better art direction, and minus the stupid 'Fus Do" BS.

Wow, what a really well done trailer. Now, if they only showed PC mouse/kb gameplay - I'd preorder that thing - immediately.siapnar wrote on Apr 10, 2015, 21:15:
Just out of curiosity, what are the cards some of you guys are running (or going to run)?
GTX 970 here. Xmas buy. No regrets
GTX 970 also. Great card imo. But I got seriously pissed by how Nvidia handled the 970 VRAM fiasco. Looks like most folks have already forgotten about that but my next card will definitely be AMD powered, no matter what.
Anyone with a GTX 970, will you be so kind as to PM me with your GTAV performance findings the 14th? Or post it in the ship ahoy thread? Pessimistic me cannot believe my GTX 680 can live up to my standards with this game and I'm already having a monster of a dilemma whether I'll be buying the GTX 970 or 980. Ofc 980 will be the better choice except that it's almost twice as expensive!
Just buy a 970 and overclock it. You can match stock 980 performance without much effort. The Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming is apparently the best overclocker.
Sadly I've had systematic fuck-ups with OC's in the past. Wasted money on different PSU's to no avail. Shit just was unstable as fuck while everything checked out. Bad experiences

I've seen that now and then with almost all my ATI cards and I've always assumed it was just a driver issue. Something at the hardware abstraction layer. With my new rig I have a kickass power-supply and I know it's not that, and my DRAM is all good too. And given that I've seen it over a few cards over the years only reinforces the suspicion that it's software related.
Cutter wrote on Apr 11, 2015, 03:15:Unless ASUS has changed it in the last year, all of their RMA's are referbs/factory repaired. The last two mobos I got back from them for a repair were also marked referb/repair, that was about 13 months ago.
Apparently ASUS doesn't do that, which is what the guy at Canada Computers said in the first place but the Sapphire was cheaper and now I know why. They used to be a good company. Apparently they only shit the bed in the last few years with some new CEO taking them down the wrong path with this sort of nonsense.
