Out of the Blue

Happy Super Bowl Sunday! Looking forward to the game, here's hoping it lives up to its potential, as it's the last game for a long time. Please stay safe if you are out and about tonight, as there will more impaired drivers out there to endanger you than usual.

Best game Super Bowl or otherwise I have seen in decades. The last few minutes were priceless.

It was a fantastic game. Had Seattle won I would still think it was a fantastic game to have watched. Pete is taking the blame in the media for that call but his OC is going to take a shit ton of blame.
Pete should not be coaching next year.

well at least we know martians don't know shit about football.

and you know shit about anything! Worst coaching decision in any s SB! ever!

The lack of logic that it takes to fire someone over what "might" have been their decision on one play when they have taken a team to the Super Bowl two years in a row....winning the first by a blowout....is startling.

Go home Martian, you're drunk.

No kidding. What an idiot. "Hurr durr lets fire Pete Carroll, who is the only reason the Seahawks amount to anything these days, over some decision that was probably Darrel Bevell's anyway. Maybe we can bring back Jim Mora and have an almost winless season again!" Surprised he didn't suggest we fire Wilson too and spray some WD40 on Hasslebeck's joints and bring his ass back from Colts second string.
Do you have a single fact to back that up?

man that 4th quarter was nuts. everybody was awwwing on the juggle catch, but i saw right away it never hit the ground. i was yelling he caught it! he caught it! and for awhile everybody was looking at me like a madman haha.

but man, gotta let lynch run that shit in. pete said he was trying to kill some time, but there was, what, 30 seconds left? run it in. 50/50 at best he even gets in on his first attempt.

Yeah I would have thought that your first option would be Lynch, your second would be play action and have Wilson run it in, and your third option might be to throw. Wouldn't have thought they'd throw on the first yard line, so maybe they thought they'd defy expectations? On the other hand, I heard this stat:
Marshawn Lynch ran the ball from the 1 yard line 5 times this season. 1 TD, 2 runs for no gain, 2 runs for a loss.
On the other, other hand, Lynch had been running through the Pats D like a hot knife. Here's what Lynch apparently had to say:
Marshawn Lynch asked if he’s surprised he didn’t get the football. Says “No.” I ask him, Why not? Says, “Because football is a team sport.”

it wasn't like a hot knife thru butter. i would say more like a dull butter knife being sledgehammered through a well cooked steak. they were stacking him up but man, he was powering through them. not easy at all, but he was still gettin his yards. impressive runner.

Probably the most exciting Superbowl game I remember since XXV, when the Giants beat the Bills 20-19 on the Bills missed field goal on the last play.

Seahawks offers Marshawn Lynch huge contract extension.

Doesn't let him win them the Super Bowl.

If I was Lynch I'd say go fuck yourself, and retire as a Raider in my hometown.

I guess this year pretty much every NFC team had to have a brutal playoff loss. The Lions, the Cowboys, the Packers, and now the Seahawks. Hell of a game though. Congrats to the Patriots.

Ahahahahahahahaha! Where's your god now, Russel? The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, huh?

That aside, what a crazy ending! The ground catch then the interception, then the encroachment? And I will give credit to the Seahawks for playing well this game, yet they've definitely had consistency problems this year. Butler is sure going to get a hero's welcome in Beantown tomorrow.
