Out of the Blue

It's a gloomy rainy day in this area, so I'm glad I got my leaf grooming taken care of before they all got soggy. The weather suits the occasion here, as it's a year ago today that Hudson the wonder dog passed on. This has me feeling sad, but I will try to push past this and try and recall all the happiness she brought us, and motivate to have a fun adventure out there with the Gunnar-man in spite of the rain.

I'm downloading my (free) copy of FC4, taking forever, and my system hard crashes somewhere during it. (Thanks DA:I! )

Trying to get Uplay to come back up, and it keeps crashing, so finally I uninstall it and reinstall it. And lo and behold, even though I still have the 5+ GB I had already downloaded, Uplay just goes and insist on redownloading the entire fucking thing again.

Yeah, I'll admit I am partial to Steam but even so, objectively speaking Uplay and Origin have presented loads more problems downloading and installing games than Steam ever does. Steam's download and install process couldn't be smoother, while I can't remember a single time that I didn't have some sort of problem/frustration downloading and installing with Origin and Uplay. I ended up getting things working in the end, but not without some false starts, restarts, and general headaches.

Thinking about you today Blue, as I prepare to rehome my youngest pup. He is going to go live on a farm with hundreds of acres with a dog that he was friends with before that dog moved there. They are both very very high energy dogs. I hate to split up my clan and I would not do it if his buddy wasn't already there.

Time has gone by very fast, and I hope that has helped as historically this is a rough week for you and your family.

Thoughts your way.

Hey.. At least it was warm around here if freakishly so.

On the other part of yer post.. It's ok to think of Hudson. We've lost two of our wee bairns (Both Scotties) over the years and we get a little blue when their respective days come up. But as you said we concentrate on the happy parts and then give extra treats to our remaining dog, Scotty 'MacBones' (also a scottie, He's a rescue and came with the name,'Scotty'. we added the last name) Who gets very confused as to why he's suddenly getting even more attention and treats

"Winnie the Pooh" Too Indecent For Kids?

Not sure why this is any surprise. A. A. Milne put the vulgarity warning right in the creature's name: Winnie the Poo.

Off the top of my head: True Detective, Arrested Development, & Sherlock, if you haven't seen them.

Here's IMDB's top rated TV shows. I haven't seen all of these, but the ones I have seen were all quite excellent. Well, except for Friends, although my wife became obsessed with it back in the day.

Depends on what you like I guess. I just got caught up with Person of Interest, currently finishing up How I Met Your Mother and Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, and finished re-watching the entire X-Files series. I tend to watch a lot of different things:

Also its cool to watch a show you have already seen and introduce it to someone that hasn't seen it like a significant other or whatever. Lots of older and current shows on Netflix too. I also tend to watch shows 2-3 episodes a day of a show, so I don't go through them in one sitting.

You could always peruse "must watch" lists like these/this and see if something seems interesting. I'm personally looking forward to a new Sci-Fi series coming out in 2015, called "The Expanse" which is direct book-to-series show based on Leviathan Wakes.

For Anime, my suggestions: SteinsGate, GITS Season 1 and 2, GITS: Arise, Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Death Note, Attack on Titan.

Sounds like the title of a good action flick, Hudson and the Gunnar-man.

Not for any commercial or copyright reasons though, but rather because of the honey-obsessed characters dress sense, sexual identity and lack of genitalia. One member called Pooh a hermaphrodite, one thinks a half-naked bear is an inappropriate symbol for young children, and one went so far as to suggest Pooh's creator A.A. Milne castrated his character "with a razor blade".

Somebody needs to create a qualification test for politicians with questions like, Winnie the Pooh is an inappropriate children's character because?....

Had about 90 bucks left in gift cards, so spent 86 dollars for seasons 1 -6. That's a pretty sweet deal.
