Out of the Blue

To follow up on the Amazon affiliate dealie, this seems to be working properly based on every effort to check up on this. If you click through on a link to Amazon containing our affiliate code, Amazon will pay us a commission at no additional cost to you. This works with a cookie, so we should get credit if you follow that link, even if our affiliate code does not appear in the URL. Thanks to all of you who have helped test this, and for all of you who have been using our affiliate links, the support is appreciated. I will work on adding a more visible/accessible link going forward.

Another follow-up is that the NFL begins tonight (yay!), so there's still time to get in on the ground floor of our hastily assembled debut competition to pick games using the point spread (password "bn2") as well as our now-traditional straight Pick'em group (password "bn"). Best of luck to all who are participating.

I watched Federer v. Monfils instead of the NFL game. Damn damn damn that was an intense match.

Federer vs Cilic in the semi-finals. It's 5 : 0 for Federer in their matches so far, so Cilic is definitely the underdog, but Im still hopeful.

I would really like to see Federer win this one in the end, as it may be his last real shot at one more Slam, but it's cool to see all of these other guys getting up there and really contending.

No, each Amazon site has a separate affiliate program.

Does it allow you, as a bona fide yankee doodle, to set up an amazon.co.uk version in addition? I think I've seen both versions on sites before and I'd be happy to use a UK one for my purchases.

Seems I can... It's still pending approval, but I now have a code for the UK affiliate programmme:

I believe both cases do qualify. Here is the list of items that don't. There are no current listings under the last entry:

  • any product or service sold on a site linked to from the Amazon Site (e.g., a product or service listed through our “Product Ads” program or sold on a site linked to from a banner ad, sponsored link, or other link displayed on the Amazon Site);
  • any wireless service plan offered through the Amazon Site and not sold or fulfilled by us;
  • any product, including games and other applications, sold through the Amazon Appstore for Android;
  • any product sold on fresh.amazon.com;
  • any alcoholic beverage product;
  • any digital Kindle product purchased as a subscription (e.g., Kindle newspaper subscriptions, magazine subscriptions, blog subscriptions, etc.); or
  • any of the products identified by Amazon Standard Identification Number (“ASIN”) in the following list (from and after the date listed); provided that any additions to this list will be published on this page at least 7 days before the beginning of the month in which they are first excluded (and such publication will be your sole notice of such modification):

Yeah, they have their own rules about what does or doesn't qualify, but it's not about being games related at all.

The LED bulbs were mine, and they were from a third party and "fulfilled by amazon", so those work too.

Oh, well sweet. I just blew $150 on dvi cables for work (technically the company did).
