(and still not finished. It will get better)

I hope so but if Bandai Namco have any control of the product and not just sales and marketing, who knows where they'll take it.

[Bill Lumbergh impression]
"Hey guys, love the super realistic racing game you're making. Listen, Need For Speed kind of flopped so we're gonna go ahead and try to grab the bigger arcade market so we're gonna need you to go ahead and retool the game to be more accessible, that'd be great. What's that, your integrity? *glances at contract* Yeah, no, that's ours now."

Edit:
I do mean "if". I gather Project CARS was well funded and the less money they need from Bandai, the less control they'll have signed away. (It's a generalisation, but I assume money = control in these matters.) If they have development entirely funded and have only signed Bandai to handle sales and physical distribution (if relevant) then they've probably retained full control. Preorder bullshit pales in comparison to losing creative control; one I can live with and the other probably won't be an issue - but does put me off preordering, not that I've had been likely to.

Pre-order rewards for a crowd funded game? Super, just super.

It's great that we now live in a world where game developers can by-pass traditional publishers and their creative control and marketing bullshit, and get funding directly from customers - and then ignore them and sign up with a traditional publisher anyway because once the crowd funding dries up, their opinions don't matter any more.

Well.....
As a person who has been a crowd funder of this game almost from the start.
All the added extras and cars I've had and help de-bug for over a year now.
So as a "Team Member +" I am not going to miss out on anything.

I've got Assetto Corsa and this beats it (in my opinion) hands down.
(in my opinion) Best racing sim ever. (and still not finished. It will get better)
The Lame Stream Media in the USA these days is nothing more than a Democrat Party protection racket.

The prices I see are pretty fucking hilarious.. 60€ for a racing game http://imgur.com/fA9NpJP (that's over 100$ for you Americans and not the LE!) The fucking hell do these people smoke? Already got skeptical when I saw gamestop as only buy option for Germans.. because in Germany there isn't a god damned GAMESTOP at all, that's the UK site price with rape-like regional-pricing. And that means it's even WORSE than Steam. As in, over 50% worse.

Namco Bandai doing what they do best. Making sure I do not buy their stuff. I will oblige.

First time I'm hearing this was kickstarted...

I'm probably confusing this with another recent awesome looking car game.

Edit: Okay, it wasn't kickstarted, but it IS crowd funded.

Funding for the game is raised by the community and the developers themselves, without the financial aid of a traditional publisher.

So WHY DO YOU GUYS GO WITH THE TRADITIONAL PUBLISHER HORSESHIT OF EXCLUSIVES??? Fuck you.
