I saw Destiny video at E3 on its huge curved screen. Nice, but I care not for the game!

LOL

zero comments on the destiny E3 trailer. watching the start of the sony conference, i was like: "what shitty looking free-to-play browser-based sci-fi grind fest garbage IP is this?"

oh, right, destiny

only bungie can apparently turn a 300m budget (think i heard this somewhere?) into a game that looks good for a PS2 title in 2003

Picked up MK8 for $45 at Target a couple days ago. After a few hours with it, I can definitely say it's a fanTASTIC looking game, and it plays....like Mario Kart. There's only the one game mode, however, which is frustrating. Well, two, but Battle mode is basically race mode, since there are no dedicated arenas (yet...I'm hoping Nintendo read the reviews and adds them in DLC). The animations are smooth, the online play works nicely, and there's even a small chance you can kill that stupid blue shell now. Still...one (and a half) game mode.

I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but Sonic Racing Transformed is a better kart game. It's got FAR more variety in its single player, and a lot of that shows up in its (sadly, completely dead) multiplayer as well. The controls are solid, the levels are crazy...It just doesn't have Mario in it.
