Also, I read somewhere that since the publisher isn't offering XWing Alliance for sale anywhere, according to a provision of the DMCA it's officially abandonware and free to DL?

I bought the ASUS VG278HE 27" Widescreen 144Hz LCD Monitor - 1920 x 1080, 2ms(GtG), 50000000:1(ASCR) - HDMI, D-Sub and DVI-D in December and I'm pretty happy with it.

Can anyone recommend a 27" monitor? As far as I can see it's either 1440p@60hz or 1080p@120hz unless I feel like importing a QNIX QX2710 from South Korea and overclocking it, which I don't.

i never got people's obsessions with refresh rate, especially on LCD panels. i've never noticed any form of ghosting or image persistence on my 75hz dell 27" and like all of you i've been gaming since the 90s.

Quboid wrote on May 30, 2014, 16:09:Correct, those are your two options. My preference would be for 27" 1440p; the higher refresh rate is nice, but not at the low pixel density of 1080p on such a large monitor.
