Mad Max Delayed to Next Year; New Trailer

Here's a new Magnum Opus trailer, introducing Max's car from the upcoming Mad Max video game, Avalanche Studios' not-timely tie-in with the post-apocalyptic movie series. They say this ties in with a TV promotion creating a real-life version of the car: "The trailer will be premiering on TV via West Coast Customs on Sunday, April 27 at 7 p.m. PDT on FOX Sports 2, following the debut of the Magnum Opus, Max’s in-game vehicle." The game was announced for release this year, but the accompanying description reveals a delay to next year, saying:
Set to release in 2015, Mad Max delivers open world gameplay in a post-apocalyptic setting where cars are the key to survival. Developed by Avalanche Studios, gamers become Mad Max, a lone warrior who must fight to stay alive in The Wasteland, using vicious on-ground and vehicular combat against savage gangs of bandits. Following the theft of his iconic Interceptor, Max must align himself with a gifted, but peculiar, mechanic named Chumbucket and others to build the ultimate war vehicle as he works to escape from the dangerous Wasteland.

I'm guessing Mel Gibson isn't doing any voice acting for this, seeing as he's completely toxic since his self elevation to the asshole hall of fame.

Tom Hardy is Max now.

Mel has issues, but compared to people who are drug addicts, child porn fans, wife beaters, and other people who are still well employed "stars" in Hollywood, he is almost a saint. His problem is that he pissed off the wrong guys in film biz. It's the typical Hollywood bigotry.

The movie with Hardy has been pushed back pretty often because of lots of production problems, so that is something that the game and the movie have in common.

So it's console only and it's nothing more than Smash-Up Derby? Ok. Right. So much for that.
