Ugh, Gearbox... just stop it. Stick to the one thing you are good at. Borderlands.
Wrong. The one thing Gearbox is great at is buying old IPs dirt cheap and then squezing them for all they are worth and usually wrecking them beyond all hope in the process.

- Some tweaks to the game balance, so I don't end up losing the game because I didn't gather enough resources six or seven missions back. This was an annoying problem with the original (less so in Cataclysm and Homeworld 2)

I'm waiting to get excited until they show some impressive videos.
Homeworld was certainly a great game, if they make it in a nicer engine, ideally easily modifiable, and I'd be buying this.

All the hate for Gearbox notwithstanding, this sounds pretty damn excellent.
My only worry is that they're doing so much work on it they're going to price it at $30 or higher.

Surely they'll fuck it up some way, Creston.
You're too young to be this cynical.

Playing through BL2 right now. Lovin' it. It's like BL on steroids. Great franchise.
I need to give it another try then. I loved BL1, but I couldn't get into BL2 after a couple of tries. It's been quite awhile since I tried it, so maybe I am ready now.

BL on steroids about sums it up. I recently just finished BL2 and I swear at least three times I thought "this has got to the end" and the game just kept opening up more and more awesome levels. It should be called the 'energizer bunny game' because it just keeps going and going and going.

It says right there it includes the "archival versions" of Homeworld Classic and Homeworld 2 Classic with modern OS compatibility. Hopefully modders can take apart the remastered versions unless Gearbox continues with their anti-mod track record as of late.
Overall it sounds a lot better than the joke that was Beamdog's Baldur's Gate "Enhanced" Edition.
