I'd rather they kept the Bluray drive and dropped Kinect.

No they can't drop the kinect, its part of the gaming experience.
Several games would be unplayable without it.
And you couldn't use the awesome TV voice commands.

And the NSA won't let them.

I'd be surprised if they're putting out a device at $399. I wouldn't be surprised if it's disc less and comes with Titanfall for $500 but that price drop seems like wishful thinking.

The Xbox without a Blu-ray drive is odd though. Considering they want it to be your all in one solution in the living room I don't think you have a choice to include a blu-ray drive. Without that you'll need another device nearby that you'll have to switch to for watching movies. PS3!

I'm kind of happy to have only the Xbox One in my living room now, I get to keep the ps3 and PS4 hooked up in my game room, aka bedroom, and my wife and kids get to watch blu-ray, netflix, tv, amazon instant video, all without needing a harmony remote to juggle through inputs and such.

If they can get it to $399 with no disc drive I think gamers will like that option but I think they'd be smarter to put it at $499 with the drive still in and pack in titanfall.

Knowing MS they'll charge $599 because it's a limited edition console and you have to buy titanfall seperately because...fuck you! We're MS! Xbox RULEZ.

Good deal, microsoft. Take out the blu-ray drive, but keep that fucking Kinect in the box! That'll make an enticing option for people!

Is there literally not a single person with common sense in that company?

I guess you won't be interested in the bundle with TWO Kinects then.

Only if it came with the Oregon cheerleaders included. Then I could film them TWICE.

Wearable Kinect announced at E3, you heard it here first

I can see the marketing campaign now..

"OK Kinect, secretly film me in the bathroom then show my eyeballs some ads before bed!"

You would think, when they chose to remove something, they wouldn't remove something that in turn would make it less accessible to people (IE folks that don't have a screaming connection and data caps to download 20-40 gig a pop).

But hey, keep fuckin up. I'm enjoying the show!

It's so funny.

$399 Disc-Free Xbox Ones Coming Soon.

Will it come with a 2+ TB drive?

Sounds like everyones speculation of "MS could easily reverse it's policies a third time" could well be happening...

Glad I'm not in that boat...
