NASCAR '14 for PC Next Month

Deep Silver announces a February 18th release date for NASCAR '14, saying this covers a previously unmentioned Windows PC edition as well as the announced Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions. A new Tony Stewart trailer shows the driver squeeze into his fire suit before showing his avatar taking a few virtual laps in the game, and here is a batch of screenshots. Here's word, which includes details on preordering:

Deep Silver announced today that the racing game NASCAR '14, developed by Eutechnyx, will launch in North America on February 18, 2014 on the Xbox 360® games and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and PC for the suggested retail price of $49.99. Pre-order offers at Walmart, Gamestop, Best Buy, Target and Amazon may include diecast cars, exclusive paint schemes and more.
Fueled by high-octane intensity and the opportunity to relive the best NASCAR moments from both the 2013 season packed into the game plus regular downloadable content updates as the upcoming season progresses, NASCAR '14 offers fans the most complete NASCAR® experience yet.

Recently NASCAR revealed that more than 700,000 votes were cast worldwide in the "Drive for the Cover" contest as fans voted Tony Stewart, the three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion to appear onto the cover of NASCAR '14. The injury that kept Stewart off the track didn't stop fans of the driver of the No. 14 Bass Pro Shops / Mobil 1 Chevrolet for Stewart-Haas Racing from beating another fan favorite, four-time champion Jeff Gordon. Stewart plans to return to the track for the Daytona 500 race in February, the same month NASCAR '14 hits store shelves.

"Deep Silver is releasing the best NASCAR racing experience yet to hit video game consoles," said Deep Silver Inc. COO, Geoff Mulligan. "Fans will soon be able to compete in recent high profile races, experiencing the exact same conditions the real drivers faced. With an aggressive post-release content plan, NASCAR '14 is a game NASCAR fans can enjoy all year long."

"With a February launch date, NASCAR '14 will make a great racing season companion for NASCAR fans," said Blake Davidson, NASCAR vice president of licensing and consumer products. "If history repeats itself, the new cover recognition for Tony Stewart will serve as a good luck charm as he heads back on the track and Smoke rises again."

Do I get a pit crew with guys named Skeeter and Cooter? Do I get crack ho southern trash flashing their saggy tits at me as I drive by? Do I get drunken redneck clowns driving monster truck 4x4's with rebel flags and shotgun racks in the inner field?
No but you do get a series of cliche riddled posts drenched in sarcasm and superiority.

I like racing games, but I really don't see how NASCAR is as fun as other games. A lot of the fun I have with Dirt and F1 and GRiD is mastering the tracks, enjoying the scenery, etc. stuff that's absent a NASCAR game. I love hitting a hairpin just right, or maxxing the throttle in a long straightaway.

I think it easily matches other forms of racing. Circle track racing is a lot more driver vs driver compared to driver vs track. Esp. compared to F1 style racing. Now this offering may be crap, but Papyrus's was anything but that and still holds up today. I prefer a good sim racing game vs a sim'd truck driving game. Just sayin...

Well, I'm personally so glad that Tony Stewart was chosen by America as the the cover person for this game.I mean just the sheer sportsmanship of Tony Stewart alone should be what role models are made of!

Who can forget such classics like throwing his helmet at Matt Kenseth in Bristol for being involved in an accident that Stewart caused!

Or, punching manchild Joey Logano directly in the face for contact that was an accidental and basically unavoidable!

0r, how about this classic! Tony Stewart fires Ryan Newman after his Brickyard 400 win last season, although he decides to keep Danica Patrick on team Stewart-Haas Racing even though she hasn't won shit!

Yes, it's America's sweetheart Tony Stewart!

...at least America didn't pick Jeff Gordon, he IS the Antichrist

Great post--lmao!! The choice reflects the US values and beliefs.
As for Jordan, the right wing christian taliban would never consider an antichrist.
BTW Nascar should reverse their tracks to reflect the US even more--keep turning to the right.

The last time I went to a funeral, I looked over at the widow then look down at her husband's body and said, "I wouldn't be caught dead wearing that suit."

Shows what you know, Skeeter and Cooter are rival crew chiefs who wouldn't be caught dead workin' together!

The rest of your southern stereotyping seems accurate, however.

NASCAR 13 for PC is hopelessly broken, and instead of fixing it, they release the next version, broken as well on PC. They stopped responding to the complaints on the Steam forums and basically told customers to fuck off. Well Deep Silver, you can take your oval racing borefest and shove it up your ass!!!
