Borderlands 2 Live-Action Trailer

Jack's Exodus website now offers a one-minute teaser trailer from an upcoming live-action Borderlands 2 movie featuring a (spoiler alert) respawned Handsome Jack, some psychos from the wasteland, and everyone's favorite manorexic assassin, Zer0. The clip has the following description: "Death is just the beginning of the misadventures of Pandora's greatest villain," and the website says the film itself will debut next week: "An exclusive screening of Jack's Exodus will be presented at the Games on Film Festival in Washington DC on Friday, January 3rd. If you would like to attend please register at www.gamesonfilm.com." There's more on what this is all about in their disclaimer:

Jack's Exodus is a non-profit film for private use only, and is not for sale or resale. At the moment, it is strictly for the promotional use of Manifest Film, Veritas Gold, and Machinima. It is in NO way endorsed by 2k, or Gearbox, or its affiliates, nor is it intended to undermine or compete with any existing or forthcoming material. Jack's Exodus is created for the purpose of demonstrating our capabilities to create and execute a story set within the world of Pandora and should not be sold, rented or used for anything of the sort. Manifest Film and Anthony Pietromonaco make no claim to any of the characters, locations, storyline, props, costume designs, logos, names or situations that are trademarked, copyrighted or otherwise protected by the federal, state, international or other intellectual property law. This film is produced solely for the personal enjoyment of the cast, crew and any other Video Game fan. No copyright infringement is intended or implied.

Nobody else gets to use it? I think it's a perfect excuse for why you feel like you're killing the same psycho over and over again, you are killing the same psycho over and over again.

Hahahaha. You'd think that psycho would eventually realize and give up, though.

It'd just feel cheap if they 'clone' Jack, though. (and they actually already sorta did so in the Hammerlock DLC.)

The respawn system is still funny in how it will respawn you every single time, but apparently nobody else ever gets to use it.

Also, I still want my space station DLC.

Not to mention, Hyperion (Jack's company) are the ones who invented the New-U cloning/respawn system, so...

Well they don't always have to do their next game set after BL2. The Telltale game for example is hinted to be set before BL2, allowing them to include Jack.

That's a good point, I didn't think about that.

It's a fan film so I admittedly don't have high standards for this one. But the trailer makes it look interesting enough.

Jack was an awesome villain. It's kind of a shame that they killed him off, because the next bad guy is going to be nowhere near as cool.
