not having to drive to a store and then see what they actually have on the shelf, and then wait in line is truly priceless in my book!

I don't know, there are many things I will never order online as they need to be sampled or evaluated in person.

If you don't buy a lot of heavier stuff then Prime is a bit of a wash, I did the math on my shipping costs last year and they were $40 less than the cost of Prime. Getting stuff faster is nice but I'm patient and nothing I order is time sensitive. The most useful thing I get out of Prime is the streaming but there is a lot of redundancy between it and other services.
Ditto. I want to see the items and quickly in person. Also easily returned if needed. However, some items are not available or I already know what they are like, then I wiill buy from Amazon.

Prime recently changed to need $25 bucks worth, but its a change that made good sense I'm actually glad they did it.

Hm? Prime still gives me free 2-day shipping on everything.

It isn't "everything." It's everything Amazon would normally carry.
There are add-on items, like a $1.99 box of pencils, that Amazon wouldn't sell otherwise. They created the entire "add-on" program for that reason. Just little things that are entirely uneconomical to sell online.

Want pencils? Either buy a carton, or buy something else and throw a smaller box in.

Everything with a Prime logo next to it. Which is exactly the same as it's been for years.

Yeah, but not everything Amazon offers.
Reasonably. Some people expect Prime to be everything. It can't be. Amazon takes a hit on the shipping from Prime, anyway. Expecting it to be everything would be unreasonable. Some still do.

Amazon slowly eroding away their benefits.

Meh, really? Given the increase in fuel (for shipping) over the past 10 years, as well as inflation, I'm surprised it took them this long. Is any place else offering anything similar? I live pretty remotely, and usually most places won't ship ground to me, I have to pay for air. But Amazon always accepts my free shipping orders.

Too bad Amazon Prime doesn't mean shit up here. Same price not even 1/100th of the benefits of the US version. Fuck Amazon for the half-assedness.

Hey, as long as they don't fuck with prime, they can do whatever to the free shipping...
