It's not like it's wrong. I'd recommend a GeForce 780 for pretty much any game.
Why not recommend 4X Titans in quad SLI then? Might as well go balls out for CoD

Good point. Who doesn't want 64x MSAA?

It's been said before... NVIDIA is recommending their flagship card for one of the most popular (yet least demanding) games to come out this year, like Pennzoil recommends synthetic racing fluid for your shitty old Honda. It happens a lot these days, where "recommended" doesn't mean a reasonable way to play the game as it was meant to be played, but more of a wishful "why not, if you want the best experience?"

I have a Twin Frozr (I think) Radeon 6950 that is the switchable unlock to 6970.. it plays BF4..not well (I understand that the game needs optimization).. but I have been thinking of getting a 7970 fr BF4 and possibly this game as well..is that a good card for $261.00 (newegg special today)

A 7970 Gigahertz Edition is worth getting, the "new" AMD cards are out on the 11th and it compares to an R9 280x (new name but same as 7970GE). The newer cards are more money @ 299 retail but don't really offer much in the way of new features for the extra money, plus the "never settle" game bundle isn't covered on the new cards - no free games unless you step up to the R9 290x which is going to be limited to 8000 issues of the card with Battlefield 4. It compares well to a 770 GTX, which is around $100 more and apparently Nvidia isn't going to drop the price anytime soon.

New vid card.. here I come!

Seriously. Even worse, the dog in Ghosts is named Riley, same as my year old Burnese/Golden Retriever. They wouldn't dare...actually, they probably would. Once this game comes out, if no review mentions it, doesthedogdie.com will.

Seriously, a $700 video card to play the game? If the game is that graphics intensive, then the programming staff should go back to programming 101. You just don't design a game to run on top flight hardware.

I have a decent hardware setup and despite the angst I will get from the grandkids, I will NOT be purchasing said game.

Throw in the 50gb install, guess I won't be downloading this game off the net. Heaven help someone who's ISP has download limits.

Whoa. Uhhhh...I guess there was always going to be a time when my 4 year old build was going to become obsolete, I just didn't realize it was going to be by a game that historically has 10 hours of gameplay.

I'm short on the proc, RAM and just barely passing on the vid card.

But I have a solution! I never planned to buy the damn game in the first place, so my machine is safe...for now.

10 hours of gameplay? Blops had like 4

Guess this one requires a 64 bit OS too? Nice to see them finally using the 64 bit processors we've had for a decade now.

Fuck, we're old...

38 is the new 28, baby!

I keep hearing that, and seriously hope it's true.

My 4 year old system isn't obselete for any console game and I refuse to think this game changes it.

The reason for the gfx cards listed there is Dx11.
I'm sure it works just as well with Dx9. (I have the 4890, so no support for dx11)

Oh, a bit short on the Ram as well with 4 gb instead of 6 (DDR2 ram is more expensive than DDR3, so I haven't bothered)

I'm still sure that reasonable very high settings work well.

ARMA 3 however proves quite well that 4 years is too long for an upgrade

Nvidia is providing these specs. The recommended specs are what you'll need if you want to get 60+ FPS at 1080p+ with 8x SSAA. Of course, most players will just use FXAA and get 120+ FPS on a much more reasonable GPU.

Although I guess it's a sign when someone asks you about that old Matrix movie and you're like "What? The Matrix isn't old it just came out in...oh yeah. Shit."

From the looks of it, they just need the additional memory address space.

I've not had him "killed", but that's exactly why I don't take him out. At one point, I contemplated throwing his ball into traffic just to see what would happen, but instantly felt bad for even thinking it.

There are soulless assholes out there who tested to see if Chop would fetch a grenade... (he does, btw...)
