Good article. I always wondered what happened to DDR4 since we see DDR5 in graphics cards.

Yes and even the 'price premium' they state isn't that much.

Buyers will pay a 30 percent or higher premium for DDR4 memory compared to DDR3 next year, though the price differential is expected to decline to around 10 percent in 2015, Howard said.

I was expecting double to triple prices, at first.
