Yeah I shut down patches on my side. First it makes one of the Svchost's suck up memory when in any type of auto-anything mode. And well, I'm not being attacked at all on my systems, last 18 months best run ever since broadband became all the rate. I'll just manually update for the time being, every now and then, when the water is safe and warm.

At my org we've had tons of issues with Outlook just randomly freezing & crashing lately. I've been working the issue for a few days & MS gave me a hotfix to test out on a few clients. So far they are stable with Outlook......Fuckin nightmare! lol

Thankfully, I'm only releasing to our beta group this weekend... I'll avoid these if they are still listed in our WSUS servers.

Our policy is to release to a beta group the following Friday after patch Tuesday, then release to production the Friday after. It's saved our bacon from roll-backs numerous times.

Upon boot up the next day, the patches that got installed want to install themselves again, and when trying to close that update window I get, "Windows Explorer has stopped working".

Yeah it was a fucking nightmare on tuesday. After 60% of the test systems failed, we just decided to wait a few weeks before patching again.
