Star Wars: The Old Republic Dread War Next Month

The Star Wars: The Old Republic website has details on a new version 2.4 patch that will go live on October 1st, and the new Dread War multiplayer mode. They also now offer the game's first expansion as part of their free-to-play component: "Players can look forward to many gameplay additions including Game Update 2.4: The Dread War coming out on October 1, which will introduce new 4v4 Player-vs-Player (PvP) Warzone Arenas into the game. And starting today, new and previous subscribers who join or re-join the fight as a subscriber, will automatically receive the game’s first Digital Expansion: Rise of the Hutt Cartel for free*."

4 vs 4 PvP sounds great, I have always liked smaller battles where individual player skill has a more significant impact on the outcome. Might start playing again.

Kind of had to laugh at the "If you pay, you get the expansion for free" statement though. All these "Subscription games are dead, F2P is the future!!!" fanbois continue to ignore the fact that the overwhelming majority of F2P games are only free if you want to be a noob indefinitely. Should be called F2D, or Free 2 Demo.
