Out of the Blue

There's a follow-up to the news the other day about the disappearance of Katherine "Kate" Masson on the Raven, saying they have additional details about this leading them to the "near-unavoidable conclusion that Kate has not gone missing, so much as she has chosen to vanish." They add more details on this and say they will follow up with more as it's learned, but there is a reduced sense of urgency about all this, as it seems she does not actually wish to be found.

We really needed a study to tell us religious sheeple are dumb?

As opposed to trendy internet atheist douchebags who are so insecure in their own intelligence they have to pounce on Christians every chance they get to feel superior?

Troll harder, troll.

You can't play the troll card when someone is responding to a troll you made in the first place.

Never believe anyone on the Internet. Go outside and make real friends. It's much more difficult yet far more rewarding. Good luck.

There are other issues living on Mars. The biggest issue is how to get large objects like habitats to the surface. Apparently, due to gravity and a very thin atmosphere, the largest thing you can land safely is as big as Curiosity. Anything bigger can't be slowed down enough using current tech.

Kotaku is reporting Microsoft has dropped the mandatory requirement of using Kinect. Quotes from MS in article to prove it isn't just Kotaku clickbait.

Even the Flash would be impressed with how fast MS is backpedaling.

People are over romanticizing a certain death in most of the cases.

I don't know if it's certain death, but it will probably be beyond uncomfortable. Most likely we'll be sending refugee supplies every year to keep them alive.

I'm just glad it's a choice on her part to disappear (as rude as it is) than a disappearance caused by a third party.

Very true. At least she's alive. The initial comment of "last seen at a truck stop" didn't sound very positive.

Hopefully she can get the help she needs (if any).

I suspect that Kate just ran off to be with her EQ Catfish. She probably met a girl that got sex changed into a guy, then realized she wanted to be a girl again. Meanwhile, sexually her preferences went from completely asexual to gay an onward to bi. Kate then went to Vegas, saw the real Catfish, and ran for the hills. Well, as is ALWAYS the case on the show 'Catfish' she then realized that she loved IT whatever the hell 'it' was.

Then they scissored and ran off into the desert together.

A former roommate of mine was a memeber of a hardcore WoW guild, a lot, and by lot I mean at least 50% of those people that I heard over Vent or whatever VoIP service they used were beyond fucking weird. So I guess this little bit of news is not that surprising.

Haha, no kidding. I have a similar background myself that I'm not proud of, and got in pretty deep. Took a lot to get me out of that, my mental state was frayed to say the least. I can completely understand why someone would want to disappear, "clean slate" as it were, which honestly was exactly what I did. It turned out to be extremely healthy for me in many ways. I also know a woman, a friend, who did something similar (disappeared), to get away from WoW harassment, so I can't be too negatively judgmental about someone doing something like this.

I'm pretty sure you have that option in ME1 as well. I actually preferred to use it myself since they never did a great job of using anything except Singularity.

Started playing Mass Effect 1 yesterday.....meh. Not a fan of squad commanding to kill a guy with a certain type of super secret weapon. He should just do it.

If you are referring to squad powers there should be an option to set automatic squad power usage, either full or defensive techs only. Unless they introduced that in ME2, can't remember.

Errr...? What are you talking about, bats?

Also, the Elders React videos (to a lesser extent the Kids React and Teens React as well) are pretty funny.
