Gone Gold - Splinter Cell: Blacklist; System Specs Revealed

IGN has word that development is complete on Splinter Cell: Blacklist, and Ubisoft's now-gold stealth sequel is off to manufacturing for its August 20th release (thanks DSoGaming). Also, the Ubisoft forums now offer minimum and recommended system specs for the Windows edition:

One difference you may notice from here and what you'd see on steam is the min spec for Processor.
It's 2.13GHz, not 2.53GHz.

There's a place for consoles - I for one am a Splinter Cell whore so I'm sure I'll be grabbing this at some point; considering it's Ubi it'll be hit $40 at some point within it's first 2 months of release so I'll snag it then.

Even the most consolefied people I know say the first three were the the best and the latter ones were crap (of course, despite being consolefied folk, they are at least still old enough to remember the first one).

I'd say what was so brilliant about the original formula was that the basic rules were so simple, but complex gameplay and lots of room for creative approaches would fall out of that.

I guess if what many people want is Call of Duty, though, these two things really just can't be reconciled. You can't both be Rambo *and* have to strategize your way around a lone patrolling guard.

Nope I think Jerykk is right this time. This looks like a proper balace between Chaos Theory and Conviction.

I think this one will be good.
