I loved District 9, but Blomkamp may be a one-hit wonder. Elysium looks like a movie more concerned with Leninist propaganda than entertainment.

Despite Matt Damon, I'll give it a chance anyway. I watched "The Happening" in theaters, guess I'm big on... chances.

D10 is coming, but it will be a bit.

Meanwhile, can I say how surprised I was that Sharlto Copley plays Kruger in Elysium? Maybe it was apparent to everybody else, but I found myself thinking "It's too bad Copley from D9 wasn't given a role in Elysium - instead they went with that crazy looking guy for the enemy"...and then I read a story to the contrary about two weeks back.

Guessing I will rent Oblivion in the meantime,
Ray Starring Tom Cruises.

Where the eff is District 10?!

Right here.

Instead, Blomkamp is focused on his $60 million sci-fi drama "Chappie" starring Sharlto Copley and Dev Patel. That film centers on a sentient android robot and will shoot in Johannesburg this Fall.

That sounds freakin' awesome. Thanks, Nin.

Also, I just love it when movies don't feature megastars like Pitt or Clooney (although I AM looking forward to Gravity). Less-seen faces make it easier for me to accept their characters.

Maybe Uwe Boll is available? Oh, wait, I said "big budget."

Uwe just came out with Zombie Massacre. Hoping my blind buy is as good as Uwe's other movies!

Totally love Blomkamp's movies. Can't wait to see Elysium.

That being said, we need more big budget sci fi in the movies, so I wouldn't mind seeing a Halo movie. Maybe Uwe Boll is available? Oh, wait, I said "big budget."
