Saints Row IV Still RC Down Under

The Australian Classification Review Board has once again refused classification for Saints Row IV (thanks nin via Kotaku Australia), which is not very surprising, since this was just a resubmission of the game that was refused classification last month, so it remains to be seen if indications that a censored edition of the game will be submitted at some point are accurate. The review ignores the anal probing that raised a brown flag the first time, but again objects to rewarding drug use: "In the Review Board’s opinion, Saints Row IV could not be accommodated within the R 18+ classification as drug use related to incentives and rewards is not permitted."

Stupid game, hope it flops. At least the Aussies have the huspah to condemn it.

There are tons of bad parents out there that will let their kids play this.

Thank you for your valued input.

NOT.

That was an easy ignore.

So true, that's what you get with conservative governments.
Sure, except that the government of the day there isn't conservative, and the Liberals(socialist-progressive) have held the majority in most of the elections, and when the fringe parties have come on board they also swing left to the socialist-progressive camp. And the most stringent backers of nannying there have all been Liberal. Even if it's been proposed at some point by members within the coalition(various members of the centre-right, being that there are 4 parties there alone).

Ok so went over to a friends last week and they have a PS3. His roomate has 2 kids, one 10 and the other 12. Considering Assassin's Creed and Grand Theft Auto 4 were they games they were playing the Saints Row series is pretty tame.

BTW, I also taught my 4 year old nephew how to properly drive a bus in Grand Theft Auto 4 (private online game, no cops, and volume turned off due to the language of the pedestrians). That's right, I took a rated MA game and turned it into a fucking BUS SIM for a 4 year old!

Grow the fuck up.

Wow, even in Germany this release won't get censored! WTF is going on in OZ land?

Does this actually stop anyone but the most casual of Australian gamers from getting and playing the game?

If you don't like where gaming is heading, stop giving your money to the people who are taking it in that direction.

I'm sorry but do they not have hospitals and doctors? Isn't that the same thing they do? I guess all sims are refused classification too because you can do those things in them. Oh well all I can say is that this game can't get here fast enough, after having a blast replaying SR3.

Consoles? I owned two: a Pong clone and an Atari 2600. And that's it.
