Never even got anywhere near creating an account at upload-all-your-life-thankyou Facebook.
It's not a requirement.

"PRISM revelations result in lost business for US cloud companies."

I haven't used much of this cloud crap before anyway, and now, thanks to Mr. Snowden, the sky has cleared completely for me. Dropping gmail as my main email provider requires some effort but is in process. Never even got anywhere near creating an account at upload-all-your-life-thankyou Facebook.

Every time Jeremy Clarkson bleats about how wonderful the UK is, and how it is the real land of the free, I can't help but giggle.

You've got it the wrong way round. If you watch the episode where Jay Leno is a guest, Clarkson moans about how the US is a carefree Utopia compared to the Orwellian nightmare that is modern day Britain.

I think he was talking about their respective treatment of cars and car owners, not really in general. I'll have to rewatch the episode to be sure.

I'm not against having the ability to filter out porn, but I'd like the choice at my PC, not in the government's hands. It's the start of filtering everything that those in power think we don't need to see. China's going to look pretty free in a few more years.

Oh fuck sake, if there's a country closer to Orwell's 1984 I have yet to see it.

James Woods: Oh that's fun. That sounds like you had a fun time. Where would I fit in with the fun time, huh? Where does James Woods fit into the fun?

On Monday David Cameron told his citizens that by the end of the year broadband subscribers will be required to go through a compulsory system which will decide what they can and cannot see on the Internet.

Attention those of you who live in the UK: Kindly stop whining about how the US is trampling on freedoms when you have that fucking toolbag in your government.

Every time Jeremy Clarkson bleats about how wonderful the UK is, and how it is the real land of the free, I can't help but giggle.

Oh, so it's PRISM's fault and not the fact that the "cloud" is BS no one wants or asked for? Yeah, I'm going to leave all my secure and necessary data in someone else's hands and pay them for it too. Pfft.
