Yeah, Non-GAAP is reserved for press releases. That can't get away with that in their actual financial statements.

If you read what GAAP vs Non-GAAP principles are, it is a common practice to report Non-GAAP, although it is ZERo indication of how the compant is actually doing. When GAAP is taken into consideration, WD is actually FAILING.

I worked number for years for both private and publicly traded corps. Non-GAAP is a cheat for reporting.

I wonder if they could get away with this if they had to spell out GAAP. Multiplying everything by 10 is likewise not a generally accepted accounting principle, so does that mean they could also claim Non-GAAP income of $21 billion?

I don't understand why people even bother reporting Non-GAAP.....just lying to yourself and shareholders.....because if you are a WD Shareholder, you WILL NOT GET 8.53 per share!
