It's cases like this that make me want to don a tinfoil hat...

surely this fool knows his case won't win, and will be largely referred to as an example of a frivolous lawsuit? Even if his intention is just to force some sort of quick settlement from Apple?

Schemers like this guy seem like they are almost trying to bring ridiculous lawsuits just so the pendulum swings even further in favor of corporations against the common man. That seems like a paranoid conspiracy, I know.

Watch the film Hot Coffee, for an example of the other end of the spectrum, where people with valid lawsuits get basically laughed out of court because of the public perception of frivolous lawsuits, in part because of people like this guy suing Apple.

Even in this thread on a gaming website, people bring up forcing the plaintiff to face an uphill battle:

If cockwallets like this dude would simply have to PAY for all court costs, including defense lawyer fees, these kinds of idiot lawsuits would stop.

Sure, in THIS one case it'd be nice, but in every other VALID lawsuit case, the wounded party, usually a person with little to no financial means, would be screwed. The misconception of frivolous lawsuits in this country is just way out of hand, in spite of rare cases like this Apple-porn lawsuit.

Like outsourcing domestic jobs for slave labour instead!

If this guy had his way, porn would be outsourced too. People who file lawsuits like this are the biggest consumers of the most twisted porn out there.

Hey, I like my porn how I like my jobs/economy - domestic.

Oh that's funny.

Quick someone sue Google and MS for allowing such content as well!

BTW if anyone uses it I request a 10% fee of allotted damages weather you win or lose the case

I'm sure this case will be dismissed as not having merit. Sue the p0rn websites for not having a warning "Use with care. Consuming p0rn may be addictive." But Apple? Really?

Sadly, logic like that cannot be found anywhere in the US legal system. Nor, for that matter, in its government.

Great. Thank you both so much. Now that will be stuck in my head all day.

edit: After two unsuccessful attempts to get the song out of my head, I read the article and wow. Might be the most blatant cash grab I've ever seen.

Sometimes I think there ought to be an IQ limit for hiring a lawyer.
